We spent our days taking in the Gers countryside and settling into its slower rhythm, and the quiet at Maison Ardure helped us unwind quickly after a long drive. Our ground floor room was charming, nicely equipped, opened onto the garden, and we slept very well. Florence and Michel made us feel at home straight away. They’re warm, easygoing hosts, and the shared dinners with other guests were a real pleasure. Florence cooked excellent meals with local ingredients and accommodated dietary needs. Talking with her about the lovely cote du Gascogne wines made dinner even more enjoyable. Before eating, we’d have an aperitif in the big, comfortable salon, with its books, games, and billiard table. Breakfast was excellent too. The house has so much character, with splendid gardens and a wonderful setting. Friends who live nearby had recommended it, and we’re glad they did. It’s hard to pin down what makes the place so special, you really have to experience it. We’d happily recommend it and hope to return soon with friends.

Florence and Michel were lovely hosts, and they speak English fluently. We stayed for two nights while visiting family nearby, and really enjoyed the food and warm hospitality. They’ve created a luxurious stay in a beautiful setting. We’d gladly recommend Maison Ardure and plan to come back.

The plum and apple trees in the garden were a treat, and I’ve never tasted sweeter plums. We also made good use of the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Florence was such a welcoming, thoughtful host and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable, which we really appreciated. We had dinner at the house, with delicious home-cooked food and local wines. It’s a beautiful spot for a countryside break with family or friends, and we’d definitely return 🥰🤤😊

Wonderful hosts, lovely gardens, and a beautiful pool made this a great place to enjoy country living. The domaine has been carefully restored and repurposed while keeping its original charm and character. It’s a beautiful retreat in the Gers countryside.
