Lovely views and a nice room, with friendly staff and a great location. Breakfast costs €6, which feels a bit steep, and the coffee’s too weak.

Gîte des Mésanges is just a short walk from the village center, with exceptional mountain views. Constance and Thibault gave us a warm, friendly welcome and were glad to offer tips on hikes and things to explore in the region. There’s a big garden with trees and deck chairs for unwinding. I highly recommend it for a stopover in Thônes!

We had a perfect stay on our motorcycle trip, thanks to this lovely couple’s warm welcome. The meals were excellent and clearly made with care. We also got to learn a little about local culture, including “blochonnage,” or stone carving, and how air currents move up and down the valley between the mountains. A fantastic guesthouse.

Thibault made my sons’ 20th birthday party feel special with his warm welcome and kindness, and we’re very grateful. The gîte is comfortable and works really well for a large group, with spacious, comfortable dormitories and a professional kitchen that makes cooking for many people easy. There’s a huge garden, a superb terrace and plenty for young people to do, including ping-pong, foosball, darts and pétanque. Breakfast was hearty and delicious too. I highly recommend it, and we’ll be back 😊
