We were left waiting outside with our suitcases because the owner arrived an hour after the 6:00 PM check-in time. He apparently expected us to call when we got there, but we had neither his number nor a Wi-Fi connection. A very kind neighbor called him for us, and he came. This was the one part of the stay we disliked, and the late check-in arrangements should be made more convenient for travelers. The apartment is on the first floor of an old-style building with no elevator, so the stairs are hard to manage with large suitcases. Once inside, it’s a pleasant, comfortable place near the train station. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the bed has a good mattress, though it’s a bit short for a tall person.

A nice place right in central Tours, with a lovely old Tours feel. Just keep in mind that you can hear the upstairs neighbors through the old parquet floors.
