I stopped for lunch while cycling the canal deux meres. Easily the best meal of our whole trip, and the landlady made us feel so welcome.

A lovely find, with a reasonably priced dinner and superb service. The lamb shank was incredible, while the steak was huge, tender, and full of flavor. I’d highly recommend it.

Cindy was a great host, and the food was excellent. We ate here a few nights ago on our way down the canal and are heading back tonight as we make our way up.

Cindy and David make a wonderful team. Cindy is professional, helpful, speaks English very well, and keeps everything immaculate. David can fix just about anything and is also an excellent cook. We only managed one night at this modern, tastefully decorated hotel-restaurant, which is a real gem in Valance d’Agen and perhaps the whole region. They deserve at least a three-star hotel rating and a Michelin star, while keeping prices very reasonable. We’d recommend it without hesitation.
