The mattress had what looked like bed bug droppings. I showed the front desk staff member, a blonde-haired woman, a bite on my hand and a photo of the droppings. She denied there was a bed bug problem and offered another room later in the day, telling me to come back at 2 or 3 pm. When I returned after 3, the manager and the same blonde receptionist were rude and kept denying there was any issue. They said the replacement room wasn’t ready and made me wait another 30 minutes. The mattress was unclean, my concern was dismissed, and I was treated rudely. I can’t recommend staying here.

The place looks good in photos, but it felt quite old, and I won’t return. It was easy to get to other things, but the rest of the stay was difficult. The manager, who was filling in for the receptionist on her day off, was rude and threatened to call the police because I accidentally touched a turtle on the floor without seeing the sign. I asked him to speak politely, but he kept talking to me as if I wasn’t a guest. I was patient, but the old, noisy AC and uncomfortable bed made it hard to sleep. A large tourist group was allowed to play music through a speaker by the pool, and people in the group made bullying noises at me while I was relaxing there. I spent five days at the hotel, hoping for a great holiday in Nice on my first solo trip in Europe. It wasn’t a place I’d recommend.

We only stayed one night during a long European bus tour. Our room had been remodeled and was clean and modern, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. There’s a grocery store a couple of blocks away. We also enjoyed a glass of wine outside, with the lovely garden and pool around us.

The staff were all very service-minded, and our room was spacious and clean. We could walk to the town centre in about 10 minutes, and the location worked well. For a biking holiday, I’d choose this hotel again. If you book parking, they reserve a space for you, and it works.
