Studilodge - Zola Park

A bit mediocre.

My phone was stolen, and for a week it's been located in my residence. No one answers when I ask for help, or they just brush us off. It's unsettling that a student residence houses people who are so dishonest. It's reassuring to know that criminals are being helped in a residence where female students live.

The location and price are the only real pluses. These are advertised on Booking.com as aparthotels, but the rooms are quite small and only have kitchenettes. The bed is a noisy folding metal frame, and the little three-legged table wobbles so much you can't lean on it. The desk is barely usable with the TV taking up most of it, and its remote has been patched up with cardboard tape and only works sometimes. On the ground floor there are no curtains, so privacy is an issue. The bedside lamp has no bulb. Cleanliness needs work too: there are questionable marks on the walls, radiators, windows, and microwave, even though the cleaner is pushing a cart through the halls before 7 a.m. It's noisy at all hours, with people constantly moving through the hallways and the front door squeaking and slamming. I'd avoid it.

The cockroach problem has been going on for nearly two months, possibly longer, and repeated requests haven't led the staff to do anything. They come across as incompetent and unprofessional. The accommodation also falls short of what was advertised, and the hygiene and service are disastrous. I've had to repost this review after it was blocked several times, which makes me wonder if the conditions are being obscured. Staff at every level seem dishonest and consistently act in bad faith. It's exhausting and disheartening, especially for the price. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.
