The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable, with gorgeous soft furnishings. Breakfast was outstanding, and Naomi and Michael were lovely hosts. We hoped to add another night, but there wasn’t a room free, so book early. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Naomi, Michael and Molly made us feel so welcome. They’re warm, gracious people who really make you feel at home. We loved our four nights at Garvally House while visiting friends in Alloa, and it became one of the best parts of our trip. Big hugs and thanks from Canada. Our room was spacious, beautiful, clean and welcoming, with thoughtful extras like tea, coffee, water, shampoo, body wash, magazines and big bath towels. The bed was large and comfortable, with lovely linens. We could happily have stayed in the room all day. Breakfast was extensive: fresh fruit, granola, yoghurt, homemade jams, and a choice of sausage, bacon, eggs or Craigs’ favourite porridge. It was all served on beautiful bone China. We felt like royalty.

The house is tucked behind a hedge, so larger numbers visible from the road might make it easier to find. Our GPS said we’d arrived, but it took some searching. Still, it was completely worth finding, and I wish we’d had time for a second night. The host was excellent, the bedroom and bathroom were big and updated, and breakfast was the best we had on our whole trip.

We only stayed one night, and I wish we’d booked longer so we could enjoy more of it. The made-to-order breakfast was amazing, and the beautiful room and warm welcome made this a perfect guest house. Couldn’t recommend it more.

We were well fed, and I’d happily come back. The host was friendly, the bedroom had a comfy bed and a good-sized TV, and the bathroom was excellent. Would recommend it. Cheers.
