Horsemanstone

Anna was lovely and so accommodating, and the service was second to none. Our spotless, thoughtfully designed room and excellent breakfast made for a lovely stay. We wouldn't hesitate to come back and would highly recommend Horsemanstone Guest House.

The flower patch outside was so well kept, a lovely splash of colour against the beautiful cottages, and our airy room looked out onto it. Everything was arranged comfortably and the room was clean, with a super comfortable bed and all the practical things we needed. Tea, coffee and sugar were provided, along with fresh milk in the fridge. The host greeted us and kindly made sure we had a biscuit to feed the alpacas. Breakfast arrived fresh, still hot and on time in a picnic basket. A lovely night's stay, and we'll be back. Thanks to the hosts!

The room was beautiful, comfortable, clean and well prepared, and everything was good quality. Breakfast is ordered on a sheet left in the room, which you post to the main farmhouse. It arrives in a plastic box at the time you choose, and you can eat at the picnic table in your room or out on the patio. The setting is green and peaceful, but the soundproofing between the upstairs apartment and the other rooms is poor, and we struggled to get to sleep. It's a shame. We also couldn't get hold of anyone before arrival, and the hosts were quite absent during our stay.

The animals are a joy to have right on the doorstep, from alpacas and sheep to ducks and hens. Coco, the gorgeous fluffy dog, comes by every day for her biscuit. Anna and Kathy gave us such a warm welcome and were perfect hosts. Our peaceful, relaxing stay was in beautiful surroundings, in rooms decorated with care and thoughtful extras like a microwave and fridge. The large fluffy towels were changed daily. Breakfast had a great selection, including fresh eggs from their hens. Highly recommend Horsemanstone, and we'll definitely return. Thank you for a much-needed few days away.
