Banff Springs Hotel

The restaurant put me off returning. The food was delicious and well cooked, but the service was slow, with 45 minutes between the starter and main. When we asked, the staff seemed nonchalant, and other diners were complaining too. The plates arrived so hot they were untouchable, as if they’d been kept somewhere to hold the food warm. I skipped dessert because I wanted to leave before midnight. The hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning views. Our room was comfortable, though cramped for a four-star place. The king room seemed like a bigger bed had been squeezed into a standard room. Desk staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. Still, I wouldn’t visit again.

We came for dinner this evening and will return. The food and service were excellent, the dining area was lovely, the menu had a good selection, and prices were reasonable.

Suranne at reception made a real difference to our stay at the Banff Springs Hotel. She was warm and lovely to talk to, helped patiently with all our booking questions beforehand, and made us feel at home when we arrived. She’s a credit to the hotel. My partner and I stayed last night, and the hotel was stunning. Our room was spotless, nicely presented and comfortable, and every facility we used was kept to a high standard. We felt looked after from arrival, and the whole stay was relaxing and luxurious. We couldn’t have asked for better. Highly recommend it for comfort, service and a memorable getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

After about six stays, I’ve always been treated amazingly. The service is lovely, the rooms are comfy, and the staff are always so nice and accommodating. It’s the only place I’ll stay in Banff.
