Apex City of Bath Hotel

That hot day in Bath made the pool a real highlight, and the hotel was in a great location too. We booked at the last minute mainly because we knew there’d be air conditioning, but the whole place turned out to be really superb. The staff were friendly and the facilities were great. The beds felt firmer than I’m used to, though I still slept really well. Well done Apex!

We were in Bath over the August Bank Holiday, and the kids especially loved the downstairs pool. Our room was spotless and modern, and we thought the restaurant food was excellent. Everything we wanted to see was an easy five-minute walk away, which made exploring with the family simple. As a business owner at MJK Roofing, I value places that are well kept and professionally run, and Apex delivered on that. It’s clean, central, and family-friendly. We had an amazing stay and will be back.

The bar was the one disappointing part for me. It felt unloved and had no atmosphere, though some music might help. Everywhere else left a much better impression: Jessica gave us a warm, personable and professional welcome, our room was spotless with lovely linens, and the spa area was tip-top and worth spending an hour or two in. I’d happily stay here again.

The room was spacious, with a modern bathroom, a walk-in shower and a bath. We spent a couple of hours using the basement spa. The sauna wasn’t working during our visit, and the pool could have been a bit warmer, but the steam room was adequate and we enjoyed the facilities overall. We didn’t try the bar or restaurant, preferring to head out into Bath. It’s a really nice hotel, and we stayed for a couple of days.
