Broadstreet Townhouse

Our room had been upgraded, and there was even a personal birthday card and prosecco waiting for us. The cafe breakfast was lovely. It’s a beautiful, quirky place in a really convenient spot. We parked at The Podium carpark for £18 per day. Thanks for making our stay special. We’ve already recommended it to friends.

When I couldn’t make the dinner I’d already booked, I went to the pub next door, attached to the townhouse, and they were very accommodating with my meal. The room was spacious and comfy, with nice touches like biscuits in a jar and a good selection of teas. The bathroom was lovely and cosy too. Staff were all kind and helpful, breakfast in the cafe downstairs was yummy, and it made for a perfect stay. I’ll stay again next time I’m in Bath.

It’s really a pub with rooms, and the premium price felt high for that. The informal atmosphere will suit some people, though it isn’t a boutique hotel. The staff were friendly but seemed inexperienced, and we noticed maintenance issues: a towel rail that didn’t work, a cracked sink and loose toilet seats. The rain showers had no shower caps. Stairs to the rooms on three floors are steep and winding. On the plus side, the location is excellent, the cafe and bar downstairs are pleasant, breakfasts were good, and some of the rooms are nice.

The location is particularly convenient, and the hotel is friendly and well appointed within a pub. Staff were extremely friendly, and the rooms were clean with nice design. Breakfast was huge and delicious. Just be aware that there’s no lift and the stairs are steep. Apart from that, all was good.
