Charles and Anna made our two-night stay fantastic, and we'll be friends for a long time. They're lovely people who make you feel welcome, and the little touches really add to the visit: tea and a slice of cake with a chat on arrival, chilled water, biscuits in a tin and milk in a little fridge. It may cost a bit more than other B&Bs, but it's well worth it. The rooms are clean, airy, large and very cozy. I looked forward to Charles's history chats over breakfast, and Anna's porridge is wonderful, you've got to try it. We can't wait to return.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with fresh fruit and plenty of other choices, all delicious. The rooms are spacious, quiet and spotless, and every part of this lovely little hotel is cared for like a crown jewel. The owners run it with real professionalism. Excellent is the word I’d use.

Charles and Ann made us feel completely at home and did everything they could to make our visit special. Their mansion, dating from 1848, has lovely gardens and beautiful decor. We had an unforgettable stay. Congratulations to them!
