I’m reposting my review from Booking.com, along with some photos I took, because the experience was so disappointing, especially for the price. The apartment is well located for visiting Bath and reasonably well equipped. I appreciated having a space heater, books, and coffee and tea. The photos are misleading. They show the house above rather than the apartment’s actual entrance. I’ve attached a photo of the entrance and access. Although the listing mentions that the property is in a basement, I don’t think this is made prominent enough. You can only get in by a steep flight of poorly maintained stairs, and there’s barely any natural light. The lock is worn and didn’t feel secure, and the door can’t be double-locked. Inside, it felt cramped, cheaply furnished and mostly soulless. The WiFi was unreliable and didn’t work in the kitchen, so I had to work from the sofa for two days. The TV had very few working channels. You can hear everything the people in the house above are doing, and presumably they can hear you too. Take care with parking. The nearby road they recommend is for residents only during the day, and parking nearby for 60 hours cost me nearly £100. That isn’t the owners’ fault, since parking in Bath is a nightmare all round, but there’s no good solution if you bring a car. The cleanliness was disappointing as well. I found dirty cutlery, a used wet wipe in the bathroom bin and smears that looked like blood on the bedspread. I was very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this place.
