The Canal Inn

We dropped in for a table for two with our dog. The pub gets busy, so booking ahead is a good idea. There are large car parks around it, and the bar is well stocked with plenty to choose from on the menu. The service was outstanding. The food came beautifully presented and tasted excellent. For the price, it was one of the best meals we've had. I'd definitely recommend the pub.

The pre-bridal suite was fantastic for me and my bridesmaids, with loads of space, a huge comfy bed, a gorgeous bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate bath, and air-con that was an absolute godsend. They'd also left a beautiful hamper of goodies, including face masks, toiletries and snacks. On Friday, the wedding breakfast came to our room in lovely hampers, so we didn't have to worry about getting dressed once hair and makeup started at 6am. Thursday night's pizza and pint was great value, fresh and really tasty, with excellent service. A special shout out to Ryan and his partner, whose name I can't remember. They were working the bar at the Canal the night before my wedding, then at the Hurt arms during the wedding. Thank you so much to everyone at the Canal for making my stay the night before so special and the wedding morning completely stress free.

The food was really tasty and fairly priced, and I loved my stay. The room was beautiful and sparkling clean, the shower was fantastic, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was quiet, and the welcome and service were exceptional.

We found parking easily, and the food was just what we needed after being out in the cold, warm and hearty. The Canal Inn Pub & Kitchen was cosy and spotlessly clean, so it was a comfortable place to unwind. We had a lovely stay and would happily return.
