The building could use some attention, though the rooms inside were a pleasant surprise. The decor was nice, the rooms were a decent size, and they looked less tired than we expected. For the price, it was a decent stay once we found the car park, which wasn’t easy to spot. Staff knocked on our door twice in the morning to ask when we were leaving, which got a bit annoying. But meh.

The online listing said reception was open 24 hours, so why should I thank the staff for staying late? If you advertise a service, you should honour it. They still charged me for the night, even though they wouldn’t let me check in. I was left stranded without anywhere to sleep after traffic on the motorway made me late. I’d booked online and they charged the full amount to my card. The service was extremely rude and unhelpful. Anyone can see the number of negative 1/5 reviews here. It’s funny seeing random 5/5 reviews between all the awful ones. They’re clearly written by your team! If you want guests to leave positive feedback, sort out the customer service. Book at your own risk.

I came down from Scotland for five nights of driving lessons and booked a single room, but they upgraded me to a double. The older gentleman carried my case up to the room on the top floor. The staff all greeted me with smiles, and breakfast was great. My room was clean and fresh, and they cleaned it every day. The bed was a little hard for my taste, since I like a soft mattress, but I still slept well. I expected just a clean room for the price and got a lot more.

The place was really disappointing, and I won’t be back. The room was tiny, like a little kid’s room, and the TV was so small I could barely see it from the bed. The shower went cold really quickly, so they need to upgrade it. The car park needs sorting out too. A towel sat outside my room for days without anyone collecting it. When I asked for a fresh one, I got excuses about it being in the laundry. The breakfast wasn’t good either. It gave my family and me upset stomachs and gas. Some of the staff had a stuck-up look, especially the person making breakfast, and were so disrespectful. I hope people think twice before booking and that the hotel takes this seriously.
