Sunrise Avenue Hotel

The location worked really well for us, just around the corner from the pleasure beach and almost opposite the South Pier. We wanted somewhere fairly quiet, and the no hen or stag party rule suited us. The stairs up to the rooms mean it won't work for people with mobility problems, though our 2-year-old managed them fine, even to our loft room. Parking can be tricky in Blackpool, but John the owner went out of his way to help us get a space. Laura met us to check in and explained where to find her if we needed anything. She and the people at the breakfast premises were all pleasant. Our accommodation was clean, warm and comfortable for a good price. We chose the breakfast option and really recommend it. There was self-service cereal, tea and coffee, plus a delicious cooked breakfast. It was served at another place a minute or less down the road, which didn't bother us. I'd definitely come back. We've stayed here twice, and enjoyed both visits. The owners are polite and helpful, and you can tell they take pride in keeping the Sunrise Avenue Hotel Blackpool very clean. Breakfast used to be plentiful and lovely, though I believe they no longer serve it, which is a shame.

I was glad to find Sunrise avenue hotel after searching Google for a family room for six. It's on the small side, but tidy and modern, and in a good location. It's not like the Blackpool B&Bs with artificial flowers, pink frilly net curtains and ornaments everywhere, which I avoid. There's no breakfast served here, but we're going out for it. The three-storey Wetherspoons called the velvet coaster is at the top of the road, next to the pleasure beach. A little bar and somewhere to eat breakfast would earn it that extra star. The hostess was lovely and helpful, and made us and the children feel very welcome. Can't ask for more 😊

Laura was welcoming when we arrived and accommodating throughout our stay. The room was clean, tidy, well maintained and more up to date than an average guest house. We were disappointed that management hadn't told us before arrival that breakfast was no longer served on site, although they did honour it. Thank you.
