The Beeches Hotel

Craig was brilliant, friendly and easy to talk to, and went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. The rooms are lovely, with thoughtful extras, and he clearly knows how to run the place. We had a fantastic weekend here and will definitely return. The beach, Tower, local shopping centre and lots of places to eat are all within a five-minute walk. I’d absolutely recommend it for couples and families.

We booked this clean, cosy hotel on the spur of the moment for a weekend, and are already planning another trip. The man who welcomed us kindly lent me a phone charger, and our window had a great view of Blackpool Tower. I loved the little room extras, including soaps, wipes, plenty of tea and coffee, and chocolates on the pillow. Cleanliness, room size and decor, the views, friendly staff and atmosphere all get 10 out of 10 from me.

Now changed to the balkan. The location is excellent, but being so close to the drunken revellers also made it very noisy. It looks lovely from a distance, but up close it seemed to have just been painted over. Wallpaper was coming off, there was thick dust on the lamps and picture frames, and black mould around the window frames. The shower head and holder were grimy and mouldy, so I cleaned them before using them. There was dried blood on the pillowcase. When I asked for a clean one, the response was, “i give you refund you give me key,” basically telling me to stop complaining or fxxk off. Tea and coffee making was by the bar, and you had to pay for it. Would I stay again? No. But not every Blackpool hotel is 5* luxury, so you get what you pay for.

No curfew, so you can come back whenever you want, and there’s free WiFi. It’s around a three-minute walk to the beach and tower. The modern building has up-to-date bedrooms with very comfortable beds, and breakfast was amazing. The host was lovely, shampoo is provided if you forget yours, and I’d definitely recommend The Beeches for a good holiday.
