I was very disappointed by how this was handled. I booked a family break in Blackpool for November through "The Place", at £165 a night, and today they asked me to cancel because the property has new management and they want more money. That's an eye-watering rate already, and calling this greedy barely covers it. I don't understand why they couldn't honour the existing bookings at the agreed prices, then charge more for new ones if they wanted. Good luck to them with that.

Claire and Lee made the stay feel special. They were helpful, lovely people, and clearly wanted us to enjoy ourselves. Everything was very clean and there was loads of space. We first stayed at the end of July and were surprised how close all the attractions and amenities were. The Pleasure Beach is a two-minute walk away, and the kids loved Nickelodeon land while we enjoyed the Pepsi max and other rides. We liked it enough to arrange another short break two weeks later. That time we had a great day at the water park and took a carriage into the centre. I couldn't give them more than five stars, but I'd like to. Thanks so much.

The apartment was lovely and clean, with the Pleasure Beach and seafront very close by. We had a fabulous weekend there with Mum, my sister and my two daughters. Thanks, we'll definitely book again.

We'd paid in full in advance for a three-bedroom place for a wedding planned for mid-April. The wedding was cancelled in mid-March because of COVID, but the owners wouldn't refund what we'd paid.

Rude scammers. I've never had customer service like this. Months after we paid for our existing booking, they suddenly wanted hundreds of pounds more. No other business would do that. Avoid at all costs.
