We had a lovely, quiet break near the North Pier, just right for a romantic getaway. Mark & Monica made us feel welcome and were easy to communicate with. It was well worth the price, and we'd happily stay again. Highly recommend.

The Sandalwood felt like a comfortable, good-value place to stay, and I’d be happy to return. Mark and Monica, along with Max, were welcoming, helpful, and upfront throughout my visit. My single room had what I needed, though the toilet didn’t flush very well. Breakfast isn’t included, and some of the decor could use updating. I understand the current look helps keep prices down, especially as the owners are still fairly new to this location. I liked being in a quieter part of Blackpool. The centre is around a 20-30 minute walk away, or roughly 5-10 minutes by tram or bus. Shops, restaurants and takeaways are nearby, though Mark and Monica prefer guests not to bring takeaways into the hotel.

It’s close to the bus and tram routes, so getting around Blackpool and beyond is easy. You’re also far enough from the nightclub noise, while still near enough if you want to go out. The couple running the place are lovely, and it’s an excellent place to stay.

Monica and Mark, and their little dog Maxie, were so helpful with our questions. They pointed us towards local pubs, coffee shops, places to eat, nearby parks and attractions. It’s a cosy little spot for a Blackpool holiday, and I’m planning to come back this summer. Definitely recommend it.

We really enjoyed our two nights here and will definitely come back. It was quiet enough for a good night's sleep, the bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was lovely. The owners were great too, and even arranged a little anniversary treat for my wife when I asked.
