The only issue, and I mean the only one, was how cold the building was. Bring your thermals! We’d definitely stay again. I was there with another female, aged 51 and 87, one of us a die hard Cliff fan. We stayed one night while attending the BIC. The building was lovely, the room clean and basic, and it had everything we needed for a restful night. Parking was £5 per night, and breakfast in the dining room was cute. The other guests were lovely, including die hard Cliff RIchard fans. My car broke down monumentally, and staff member 'lexi' kindly let us use the lounge, toilets and phone charger. Thanks for a great stay!

The receptionist was friendly and the bed was comfortable, but the room was tiny and felt unfinished. The hotel is dated and needs money spent on it. The duvet covers had marks, and the car park was uneven. You shouldn't have to pay for parking. Breakfast was sparse, I had to ask for tea and coffee, the pastries were in plastic wrappers, and the toast smelled funky.

There was nobody at reception when we arrived, so we waited outside for 15 minutes and ended up late for a nearby restaurant reservation. The room was dirty, and the toilet was dirty and hadn't been flushed. They also charged £5 for parking, even though the booking app said it was free. Wouldn't stay again.

We were put in a room below the hotel that felt like a low quality dorm. There was one TV for two rooms, and it didn't even work. The drawers were old and run down, and the room was unpleasant to look at. The manager was the biggest problem, completely rude and made the stay horrible. I wouldn't recommend it.

The staff were friendly and the hotel itself seemed fine, but our ground-floor room was damp and very cold. Wallpaper was peeling, the bed creaked and was uncomfortable, and there was no hot water. The TV didn't work properly, and the bathroom towel rail was rusty. There wasn't a hot breakfast like the listing said.
