Camping Pod Heaven

We left after four days of a planned week because the facilities weren’t as described and the owner was so rude. We paid almost £500, and had to throw away two loads of food worth £70 because we couldn’t cook or store it. The website showed barbecue facilities, but on arrival we were told outdoor barbecues and cooking weren’t allowed. We could only use a gas cooker we’d brought ourselves, which we hadn’t brought because we thought cooking facilities were on site. We also had to ask permission to use the bathroom and shower, which I’ve never encountered at a cabin or hotel where you’re paying to use those facilities. The pods were like dog kennels, with a 4 inch mattress on the floor, no TV or Wi-Fi, and no kettle, microwave, or small essentials for keeping food fresh. The website’s claims about the facilities weren’t true. The site is a long way up a steep hill on top of a mountain. The owner was very rude and strict about her own rules, with no thought for customers or their needs. We had children with special needs, and she showed no regard for what they wanted or needed. I was extremely disappointed and wouldn’t recommend Camping Pod Heaven to anyone.
