Premier Inn Cambridge North - Girton

We were a group of 12 in four rooms, and the staff made the stay especially good. Everyone we met went out of their way to help, even though they seemed understaffed. They organised breakfast and dinner for all of us, and nothing felt like too much trouble. Special thanks to Laurence and Tracy, and kudos to the whole team. We’ll definitely be back. There’s ample free parking once you register your car at reception. The surroundings are lovely, with a short walk to Cambridge and bus routes nearby. The small hotel has a downstairs and one upper floor. Our rooms were clean and tidy, and having air conditioning was crucial for us. Dinner and breakfast are served in a now defunct Beefeater. Service runs a little slowly there, but they explained that clearly, and the food was tasty.

The cooked breakfast was absolutely lovely, and I’d highly recommend it. I was there for a Friday night before running a parkrun at Fulbourn Hospital on Saturday. The hotel was close enough for an easy, leisurely drive to the event in the morning. It was easy to find and had enough parking. Check-in was simple and quick. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed, including Wi-Fi, though it took a little while for the heating to warm it up. Thanks for a comfortable stay.

The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout, and were always happy to answer my questions. I’d happily return to Premier Inn Cambridge North. It’s a great spot if you’re travelling by train, just a short walk from Cambridge North station, and getting into the city centre is convenient without the parking hassle. My room was clean, modern and comfortable. The bed lived up to the Premier Inn standard, really cosy and great for a good night’s sleep.

It’s a peaceful spot, away from major roads and the city centre, and the comfy beds made for a quiet night. The walk into town isn’t too far if you’re fit, or there’s a bus as another option. Breakfast was lovely with lots to choose from, much like the evening meal. Staff were cheerful and willing to get on with the work, though again there didn’t seem to be enough of them. Tracy and the day team were great, and I’m sorry I can’t remember the evening staff’s names. There were only three staff covering both the front desk and restaurant, including the chef. When we arrived for dinner, nobody seemed to be around, but they were in the kitchen. Once I let them know we were there, they got us seated quickly. They handled doing both jobs with good humour and a can-do attitude. We waited a while for food, but it arrived hot and clearly freshly cooked, and we had no complaints. We stayed Sunday the 24th to Monday the 25th. From arrival, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and cool, with a handwritten welcome note and snacks from the team. A thoughtful touch. Would I stay again? Yes, 100%. The staff are a real credit to the company, and it would be nice if there were more of them.
