The Gonville Hotel, a member of Radisson Individuals

I had a few days at the Gonville Hotel and was really impressed by the breakfast, with its wide selection of hot and cold dishes, and the professional, friendly staff. I felt special at reception. The rooms were clean and elegantly decorated, and the hotel was quiet and comfortable, close to the attractions. The location beside Parker's Piece is perfect, with the city centre, university colleges and River Cam only a few minutes away on foot. My one downside was the room lighting. It was quite dark even in the daytime because of the small window, which isn’t convenient if you want to work. I’m taking one star off for that. I’ll definitely choose the Gonville again next time I’m in Cambridge, and highly recommend it.

The complimentary Bentley tour was the highlight of our two-night stay, and we really enjoyed it. It was such a lovely thing for the hotel to offer guests, and we’d highly recommend it. My girlfriend and I were both happy with our stay. The room was nicely decorated, the bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was nice. Staff were friendly and the location was great. Parking was expensive and not great.

The vintage Bentley tour was the cherry on top of our wonderful two-day team meeting at Gonville Hotel in Cambridge. Mike was an exceptional driver. He showed us Cambridge’s marvels, shared plenty of cool facts about the city and even kindly drove us to the station, although it was well out of his way. Big thanks to him! The meeting room was perfect, and so were the meals. Highly recommended!

When I want something a little different, the Gonville hotel cocktails are the place to go. Sit in front of Parker’s piece in the sun and watch the world go by. Sometimes I’m not sure which cocktail to pick, so I asked Elliot behind the bar to surprise me based only on the spirits I like. The presentation, taste, service and rapport all got a tick. Wow! If you’re unsure what you want, trust a professional’s opinion. Top class, highly recommend.
