The breakfast was wonderful, and there was plenty of parking. We loved the beautiful grounds and seeing the horses going to and from the stables next door. We stayed with our two kids and our dog, who was made very welcome. The room was a bit tight for four, but fine for a night or two. Although it's just off the M6, the B&B feels properly rural and quiet, which made it a lovely place to rest overnight. Great value for a stopover, and we'd happily stay again when travelling along the M6.

I ended up driving all the way home to Devon after two days of travelling because the back-and-forth about the dogs, bedding and arrival time left me stressed. It may well be a lovely place, as other reviews suggest, but I didn't feel welcome or at ease and just wanted to go home. Maybe other guests would see the messages differently. We didn't stay after learning that dogs, although welcome, couldn't be on the white bed sheets. We had dog beds and a blanket with us, so that was fine for us, but other people travelling with dogs might not be so prepared. This policy should be included in the booking information. They emailed twice asking when we'd arrive. I replied to the first email asking them to confirm the check-in hours, but got no answer, then received another message on the day asking again. I'm not sure their email system works properly, so I'd suggest calling with questions and confirming the dog policy and check-in time directly with the owner instead of relying on email or Hotels.com messages. Hopefully you'll have a lovely stay like many other reviewers.

The bed was the comfiest ever, and the cosy room had tea and coffee facilities. There's a shared kitchen if you need it. Jo is such a welcoming, friendly host, and cooked one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. The B&B is a lovely hidden gem with beautiful grounds. Hopefully we'll be back to see Jo and her gorgeous dogs when we're in the area again.

The setting suited me just right, though the isolation in the middle of nowhere might not be everyone's thing. If you like quiet, views and a peaceful atmosphere, you'll love it. The rooms are basic but clean and nicely presented, with toiletries in the bathroom and tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was hearty and well cooked.

I've stayed here twice and would recommend it. The farmhouse is next to a separate detached building with the accommodation, and there's access to a fully equipped kitchen. It's on a farm in a rural spot, very clean, with plenty of parking. I once arrived in a very large van and had no trouble parking. Breakfast is cooked fresh to order and sets you up for the day.
