The room had a big screen, microwave, fridge and en suite, and it’s a five-minute walk from the town centre. We spent a weekend here and, despite some of the reviews, found it a decent hotel. Just be warned, the bed felt a bit like Fred Flintstone’s zed bed. Still, I’d highly recommend it, 8/10.
I should’ve stayed away. This place needs a full refit, new everything, and somewhere to eat that stays open past 5pm on a Friday. Everything here was awful. I’ve been to some pretty dirty places, but this was a new low.
My boyfriend and I paid 90 pounds for two nights, but after I got home I saw another 100 pounds had been taken from my account for the room. That made 190 pounds altogether. I emailed to ask why they’d taken the extra money and never got a reply. Beware, I feel robbed.
So far, so bad. We’ve only been here two hours.
