Holiday Inn Express East Midlands Airport

I stayed in July this year with my son, and we both slept really well. The room was comfortable and clean, and the food was great. I had a parking fine issue with a difficult parking company, so I emailed the general manager Micheal. He was polite and helpful, and sorted it out within 10 minutes. Great service. I’ll be back later in the year!

The price was a pleasant surprise, and the hotel was better quality than we expected. Breakfast was included and got our day off to a great start. Even though we were right beside the runway, the soundproofing was so good that we didn’t hear any aircraft noise. We stayed the night before our flight.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and I’d use the hotel again. My room was modern, clean and sensibly equipped. Parking was fine, though it cost £10 per night. Dinner was all right, but tasted like it came out of a packet or two. Breakfast was good, especially the sausage and bacon. There was some early morning noise from aircraft taking off.

After a busy day of driving, I couldn’t have asked for a more accommodating place to settle in for the night. The staff were kind, friendly and incredibly helpful, and nothing felt like too much trouble. I’d give it more stars if I could. I’d only stopped on my way somewhere else, but it felt like an extra little holiday. Highly recommend.
