Breakfast was excellent, our room was clean and fresh, and the B&B was comfortable with lovely, helpful hosts. The ensuite was good, though it could use a power shower. We were on the top floor, up two flights of stairs, and had a large case to manoeuvre with no lift, so that’s useful to know before arriving. We walked to the centre in about 20-30 minutes on a straightforward route. It’s a safe area, near local shops and places to eat. The hosts were interesting people, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

We slept very comfortably and would definitely come back. The house is gorgeous, the welcome was lovely, and they gave us useful information for getting to Princes Street and elsewhere by transport. Our room was clean, and breakfast was amazing, cooked to order. The only small issue was that the shower could use more pressure, probably because we were on the top floor.

We stayed one night in two rooms. The twin room wasn’t ready for us: the toilet was dirty, there was no toilet paper, toiletries were lacking, and dirty towels had been left around the room. It smelled awful and felt cold. I can’t even be sure the shirt and duvet were clean. My mom and sister rushed out of there. The place was disgusting. In the double room, the window wouldn’t shut properly and had a gap all the way around, so it was cold and we could hear street noise. The bathroom was tiny, the toilet wasn’t very clean and there was no brush; the fan didn’t work either. There weren’t enough toiletries, and the only towel beyond the bathroom towel was very dirty. I couldn’t bring myself to shower, even with the heater turned all the way up, and neither my partner nor I could sleep. I’m horrified by this accommodation and blame those who gave it three stars. I wouldn’t go back even if they paid me. One star at most.

The breakfast was horrible, honestly disgusting, and I wouldn’t feed it to dogs. The hosts weren’t welcoming either. We won’t be staying again.

A cozy, lovely place with nice, helpful hosts. I loved it and will definitely come back.
