Three years here, with amazing staff and a great vibe. Hope the place keeps getting even better!

The shared kitchen is great for cooking and having a meal together. The staff are nice, prices are good, and the location is very convenient. It's got what you need for a few days in the Capital.

For one night, the compact but functional room was fine, and it was great value compared with other places in Edinburgh. Staff were friendly and helpful, and bedding and towels were provided, which I appreciated for student accommodation. It's about a 15-minute walk to the city centre, and the fob gives access at any time, so there was no hassle with keys or night security. The early 10 a.m. checkout was inconvenient, and I couldn't extend it. I would've liked a small TV and some cups or glasses for water, though there was a shared kitchen and living room to use.

I spent two years here, and what a gem among Edinburgh's many student accommodations. With the large windows, you might get a clear view of the canal. It's a great base for exploring more of Edinburgh, and I'd strongly suggest cycling. The team are very friendly, the wifi is fast, parcels are handled securely, and there are frequent social events. My scores: staff 5, location 4, comfort 5, facilities 3, value 5. The area is currently undergoing regeneration, and that will go on for some time. Good luck with it.
