The activities made it easy to meet other solo travelers. I joined the group dinner and had a great time, and they also run free walking tours. There’s a bar, cafe, and restaurant in the hostel, handy for a coffee in the morning or a drink after exploring. Tyler, Tad, and Emma were especially welcoming, helpful, and lovely to chat with, and the whole staff was friendly. I spent four nights here and loved it. The location is right in the heart of Edinburgh, easy to get around from and very close to the train station, which made arrival and departure simple. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms and bathrooms were kept clean. I hadn’t realized the bathrooms were separate from the rooms. It wasn’t a problem, but I wasn’t prepared for it, so bring flip flops.

The restaurant was delicious, and breakfast was tasty and well worth it for the price. The shared spaces were great and stayed clean. There were daily activities and free walking tours every morning, which I really enjoyed. Everyone was welcoming from the moment I arrived, and the staff were always around to help. I loved my stay and would definitely come back.

My single room had a shared bathroom. It was spacious despite having a very small window high up on the wall, apparently because the building used to be a prison. The USB ports were handy, so I didn’t need an adapter. The bathrooms were clean and nice, and the staff were friendly. Great location too, and the restaurant food was really good and reasonably priced. It was a fun stay, and I’d definitely come again.

The pods were comfortable, and the whole place was clean. Code is right in the centre, which made it easy to explore Edinburgh. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the daily social events were a good way to meet people and learn more about the city. I loved staying here and would recommend it. Thanks to everyone at Code for being so nice! Try their Deluxe waffle, it’s yum.

The dining area was really cozy, and they serve drinks as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are events every day too, like beer tasting. Staff were super friendly, and the 24-hour check-in desk was useful for people arriving on late flights. I had an 8-bed dorm. It was fine, nothing worse than you’d expect from a hostel, and I had no other complaints. The elevator wasn’t working, though, so I had to climb three floors every time I went to my room. The location is amazing, basically right on the Royal Mile. Such a great place, definitely recommend!
