Delta Hotels by Marriott Edinburgh

The rooms have always been clean, welcoming and well looked after, with tea and coffee and comfortable beds. We’ve visited a few times for the park and fly option, then taken a taxi to the airport the next day. Check-in has been nice, though some reception staff are more welcoming than others. We usually eat in the Brew Bar rather than the restaurant. Musa always gives us a friendly welcome back, and Luke and the rest of the staff are chatty too. We’ve enjoyed the flatbreads, fish and chips, sirloin steak, Caesar salad, pizzas, and cheese and biscuits. Everything has been tasty, hot and nicely presented, with a bottle of La vivienda. Before heading home, we have breakfast in the restaurant. The staff are friendly, and there’s plenty of hot food, tea and coffee, cereal, fruit, juice, yogurt, bread and rolls. Looking forward to seeing everyone again on 1 July :)

We had a great time at Delta Edinburgh Scotland. At check-in on Thursday April 30 around 17:30, the reception team were helpful, especially the blond woman. Joanna in the coffee shop was a standout. She kept the tables clean and got food out hot and quickly, all while looking after a busy crowd without slowing down. She had great energy, a friendly manner and a lovely smile. I’d hire her myself if she ever came to Springfield OH. Breakfast at the Cast Iron Grill had a big selection of tasty, top quality food, and dinner was excellent too. Santash took care of everything we needed and went out of his way to make sure we were happy. He was professional and easy to talk to, and his neatly pressed outfit looked sharp. He deserves special thanks.

The bar dinner was great, and Joyal looked after us so patiently and kindly. They answered all my friends’ questions and mine about the menu. My one-night stay went smoothly: the room was clean, the A/C worked perfectly, and there were plenty of towels and toiletries laid out carefully. Only one of the two elevators was running, but getting around the hotel was still no problem. I’d choose this place again.

Sophie at reception saved us when we were running late for a train. She quickly arranged a black cab to the nearby station, and we made it onto the train just 30 seconds before departure. I’m very grateful to Sophie and the hotel for helping us. 10/10, highly recommend!
