Edinburgh Caledonian Guesthouse

Staff were excellent, polite and helpful. Ms Lorna and the rest of the team were already offering advice and help before we arrived. The breakfast was delicious, though I wish the hot meal choice weren't limited to one per person, whether breakfast is included or paid for on the spot. I'll really miss the porridge and those amazing buns with bacon or potato scone! Our room felt like home, clean and cosy, with light, lovely decor and a beautiful corner with an armchair under a big window. It was a regular-sized room. The only thing I'd change is the bathroom door, which was very thin and had gaps between it and the frame. The hotel is reasonably priced and close to the centre, an easy 20-minute walk or about a seven-minute bus ride on the 10 or 27, with a stop almost right outside. Edinburgh Caledonian was definitely one of the best parts of my trip to Edinburgh. I'll look it up first when I return to Scotland. Many thanks to all the wonderful staff, see you soon!

Our room had a lovely window seat looking over the gardens opposite, and it was a good size, clean and kept to a high standard. It's a lovely little guest house on the edge of the city centre, a short walk from town, or you can catch the bus on the road out front.

The welcome was warm and the staff were accommodating. The room was clean, though the bathrooms are small. This was my first time staying in a B&B. You can get into the city centre by bus or Uber, which costs around 5 pounds, or walk if the weather allows. Breakfast was well organised and not chaotic despite the limited seating.

The staff were very good, and you can ask them to help book tours. Breakfast was very good too, and you can have it in your room. My room was nice and had its own bathroom. It was a 15-minute walk to the centre, by the castle, with pubs, a grocery store and car rental nearby. There are three parking spaces, and you can ask for a spare adaptor. The room has plenty of Overall a very positive experience.
