Fingal - A Luxury Floating Hotel

Dinner was a highlight, especially the scallops to start and the monkfish main. Both looked lovely and tasted full of flavour. The chef even came over to see how we were doing, and the whole team were so attentive. We spent one night aboard Fingal, and it felt memorable from beginning to end. Everyone gave us such a warm welcome and looked after us throughout. Our cabin was cosy, thoughtfully put together, and full of nice details. It’s a beautiful ship and a really special place to stay.

The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the rain shower was the best. I’ve never had this sort of luxury before. Everyone at the Fingal hotel made the stay feel special, and the restaurant was a real treat. Jeanette and the two young men whose names I didn’t catch were brilliant, and the food was delicious. My husband’s map maker cocktail made his night. We felt so welcome from the start right through to the end. Can’t recommend this beautiful hotel enough.

That breakfast is going to stay on my mind until I get to have it again. I’d just come from London, where I’d stayed at the W and St Pancras, and Fingal Hotel had the most comfortable bed of the whole trip. Callum welcomed me and Marinelle (I hope I’ve got the spelling right) saw me through checkout. The staff were warm, genuine, and made things feel personal. There was an odd noise when I ran the shower, which is my one little gripe. The stay was so good that it really is a nitpick. I’d absolutely book again.

The rooms were spotless, with a gorgeous shower and the most comfortable bed. Breakfast deserves a mention too, it really matched the hotel. We shared dinner at the restaurant, where the food was elaborate and had loads of different flavours. There’s a great range of wines, beers, and cocktails as well. We were here for two nights for my birthday, and the classic luxury feel was hard to beat. Every staff member made an effort to greet us and help however they could. I’d definitely come back.
