The garden, benches and peaceful feel made a nice impression, and parking was excellent. Our room was beside the road, but the sound never bothered us. There aren't TVs in the rooms, which helps keep things quiet, though there is a shared lounge with a TV and a small kitchen with a microwave, fridge and kettle. The rooms do have tea-making supplies and en-suite bathrooms. We were there for a couple of nights. The room was comfortable and very clean, and the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Breakfast is continental, with homemade bread. At first we weren't sure where everything was, since food is put in the fridge overnight for guests who need an early start, so check there if you don't spot what you want. There was a good choice of teas and herbal drinks, plus cafetieres and ground coffee.

It's 2:17 in the morning and I'm still wide awake, even though I went to bed at 10. I'm in room 200, which was meant to be a family room, right above reception and the main entrance. Some of the stairs and hallways have no carpet. When people walk past in heels, it feels like they're tapping right on my forehead. The fire door outside my room also slams so hard when the drunk people keep arriving that it sounds like it's about to hit my head. I'm not joking. I'd happily sleep in my car if they'd refund me. Also not joking.

I've come here for a few work training sessions. The grounds are beautiful, and I always make time for a walk around. Lunch is lovely too :)

Not for me at all. It felt a bit creepy, and it was £40 per person including continental breakfast. I won't be back.

The accommodation is welcoming, though at a student level. It was peaceful, and there were spaces for prayer and meditation. Staff were helpful and accommodating.
