The hosts were lovely and very helpful, and the apartment was spotless and comfortable, just a few minutes’ walk from central Edinburgh. I’d definitely stay again for a short break. My one minor gripe was the busy street outside. In the hot weather we had the windows open, which made it hard to sleep. With the windows shut in winter, I don’t think that would be an issue.

We had plenty of room and everything we needed for a great stay in this lovely apartment. The bedrooms and living spaces had tasteful decor with distinctive Scottish touches. It’s well placed for the city centre and near the Surgeons Museum, with lots of cafes close by as well as Lidl, Tesco, and a 24-hour store.

We found the apartments clean, modern, and spacious, with a great design. There were enough dishes for four people, and they came to clean halfway through the week. The location was great too.

I was in Edinburgh to see Derren Brown and stayed at the Nicolson Apartments for a weekend. The apartment was just right, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. The complimentary shortbread was delicious, too. I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in central Edinburgh.

The apartment had good equipment and was in a convenient spot, with a few shops nearby. I gave it three stars because we had trouble with both the shower and the oven, and when we raised the issues, we were brushed off as though they were our fault. Neither was fixed during our stay. When you’re on holiday, you don’t have time to keep contacting a company to arrange a plumber or electrician. Customer service ended up blaming us for not getting in touch sooner.
