Six Brunton Place

The hosts, Hillary and Martin, made our stay much more enjoyable than we’d expected when we booked a week for the central location. The room was so comfortable and quiet, just what we wanted after a day exploring. We looked forward to the fresh, filling breakfast each morning and enjoyed our hosts' suggestions when we first arrived, as well as the little chats over breakfast. We can’t recommend Six Brunton Place highly enough.

The hosts were welcoming, kind and attentive, and the room stayed warm and cozy even though we visited during the coldest days of the year. Set on a quiet street, the guesthouse is still close to the city centre and major sights, about a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute bus ride away. I loved having breakfast and afternoon tea in the intimate room beside the fireplace. The atmosphere felt warm, nostalgic and full of history, which made the stay memorable. The rooms were spotless, carefully designed and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was elegant and well maintained too. I felt so comfortable it was like being at home, rather than in a hotel. I couldn’t find anything to fault and would gladly stay again on a future visit.

The room was spotless and had lovely decor, and breakfast was excellent. It’s a really cozy, clean guesthouse, and the host made us feel completely at home with how kind and welcoming they were. I’d happily recommend staying here.

The continental breakfast was just right, and the room felt lovely and cozy. We couldn’t hear the main road at all. Martin was chatty and so helpful, and the house is beautiful. I’d recommend it to anyone after a small place in central Edinburgh.
