Marco was quick to respond and answered every question I had straight away. I spent three nights touring Edinburgh from the charming Painters Studio at the Rock House. It’s in a great location, and the rooms were clean and well appointed. Don’t let the angry hot water faucet put you off, the hot water does work. Highly recommended!
I rented the studio and really liked how it looked, as well as the view of the cemetery from the kitchen window. I booked through Verbo, though it’s also listed on air bnb. The shower was god awful, incredibly tiny. I was very cold at first, but found that turning up the gas in the closet under the stairs brought more heat. It felt kinda messed up that the owners had turned it down so low during winter.
At the foot of Calton Hill, this charming photographer’s studio made a perfect base for my Edinburgh visit. Waverly Station was close by, and Edinburgh Castle was an easy walk away.
We had a fantastic time here with our family for my sixtieth birthday. The house is wonderfully quirky, with a lovely garden, and sits in a brilliant spot on the side of Carlton Hill. It’s close to Waverley Station, though there’s no parking.
We really enjoyed Sunday lunch at this well-located hotel. It would also be handy for a theatre visit. When a fuse blew, the staff handled things well, traced the problem to the coffee machine, and kept us updated, so there were no issues.
