The bus into town is just around the corner, and the hostess is friendly and knows the area well. Breakfast is excellent, with fresh herbs as a nice extra. The accommodation is comfortable and well kept. I always enjoy staying here.

We spent three nights in a clean, cosy room, with the basics provided and access to a shared kitchen with a fridge. The owners were warm and welcoming, and marked places of interest and bus routes on a tourist map for us. There’s a frequent bus into the city centre from the stop outside. I’d recommend it to couples visiting Edinburgh and the surrounding area.

Marg made our week at the White House feel easy. She was a wonderful hostess, always offering tea, sharing tips and information, and helping us plan day trips. Breakfast was delicious, and you can put together your own choice for Marg to prepare. Our room was clean and very comfortable, with air conditioning and everything an exclusive hotel room can offer. The location worked well too: bus stops are around the corner, and it’s about 15 minutes to the city centre. For driving out into the country, the A90 is close, with the M90, M8 and M9 reachable in under 10 minutes. We’d definitely recommend it and will be back, next time with the little one, Paul.
