The Inch Hotel

I first stayed here seven or eight years ago and had been itching to return. Things haven’t changed much, if at all, and that’s a good thing. The service was fabulous, friendly and caring, while still professional. Our room felt a little dated and tired, but the bed was cozy and really comfortable. My birthday dinner was spot on, with no long waits and top quality food. The rate seemed about right for the area and facilities. My only small gripe was the WiFi, which is limited to 10mb/sec and just isn’t enough for streaming shows. Still, it was a fabulous visit and I’ll definitely be back.

The location is nice, but it doesn't make up for how unpleasant the room was. The website photos give a misleading impression. Everything felt musty, so we had to open the window for fresh air. The carpets, headboard, chair and lampshade all had stains, and the old, battered furniture looked cheap. The mattresses were broken down and uncomfortable, and should have been replaced years ago. The bathroom was clean, though not very nice, with plastic wall panels and a clear plastic shower stall squeezed into the corner. It felt like showering in a camper van. The staff were friendly and the food was okay, but calling this a three-star hotel is generous.

The staff were fabulous, and the food was lovely. We had wonderful views and a fabulous stay. Thanks for suggesting Foyers Falls for our drive back to the airport, it was well worth the stop. I'd definitely stay here again when I'm back in the area.

The staff were especially attentive and accommodating, and the food was amazing. The Venison Papparedelle was a standout. Everything they serve is locally sourced.
