Premier Inn Glasgow - Cumbernauld

The location was convenient, with restaurants, shops, a large Asda and the shopping centres nearby. We stayed for two nights just after Christmas, on 27 and 28 December, and I found it quite enjoyable. Our upstairs room was easy to find, clean and well presented when we arrived. It was a standard Premier Inn room, and everything apart from the rather poor Wi-Fi was good. The receptionist on arrival was friendly. Breakfast was served in the restaurant, which was closed during our stay, so the hotel offered free drinks, pastries and fruit in reception instead. I thought that was a decent compromise, although I didn't have any myself. Someone else in my family did.

Lucy, the hotel manager, was really friendly and helpful, thank you. The hotel is handy for restaurants and motorways, and there is free parking on site. It was being refurbished, so the restaurant was unavailable. Breakfast was self-service, with takeaway porridge and other options, and that was still okay.

Lucy at reception was a lovely welcome after a tiring day, and access was fine despite the major reconstruction at the hotel. My room was clean, warm and comfortable, so it was a decent place to stay. The corridors and stairwells could use a tidy-up and a facelift.

The room was lovely and clean, with really comfy beds. Staff were so friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of places to eat around the hotel.
