Getting around Glasgow from this hotel is easy, and that location is its big advantage. The room itself was cramped and gloomy, with a view across a narrow lane to offices, so we couldn't really have privacy. Bottles being emptied from the bar made noise late at night, and trucks collecting the large bins woke things up again in the morning. There was hardly anywhere to put our things, just a tiny cupboard, since hotel equipment took up most surfaces. Twice we came back late in the afternoon after sightseeing and found the room hadn't been serviced; we had to contact reception to get housekeeping to come. The route to the lift was also awkward, with two flights of stairs and a double-door air lock to get through while carrying suitcases. That might be manageable with an overnight bag, but not heavy luggage. We had a King Club room and found the hotel and room quite unsatisfactory. The Address may work for a short visit, but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay or for anyone with mobility issues.

The restaurant meal was amazing, and our waitress was attentive and friendly. The bar has a cool, modern look too, and the barman who served us was a real gentleman, though I didn't catch his name. Staff throughout were polite, helpful and welcoming. Our room was clean, with a comfortable bed, safe, tea and coffee setup, and a bathroom with a very good shower and toiletries. There's also a gym with cardio machines and weights. The hotel is near the city centre, handy for museums, tours, places to eat and bars. Bus stops are just outside, taxis are there as well, and the airport bus goes from around the corner. The main bus station is about a 15-minute walk. The room was a little small, but that's me being picky.

We left because the place felt unsafe and unprofessional, not because we were unwilling to talk. The staff's conduct and the conflicting explanations made that clear. We were never told beforehand that our booking had supposedly ended. We discovered it only when our rooms were locked, our key cards stopped working, our beds had been changed, and our belongings had been handled without permission. Staff had entered several occupied rooms before telling us anything. The explanation about different check-in dates doesn't fit what happened: two rooms together, including one unrelated to that claim, received inferior service from the start. That points to mishandling, not a “travel agent error.” As for the supposed three guests waiting for our rooms, there was no timeline, paperwork or evidence. If that was the situation, we should have been told earlier in the day, before our access was removed and our belongings touched. The conversation only became heated after staff tried to overcharge us despite the printed receipt, wouldn't return the deposit, and reacted with hostility when we questioned it. Alan, your response doesn't match what actually happened. This involved a serious breach of privacy and guest safety, as well as discrimination. I hope the hotel carries out a transparent internal review, because this was far beyond a simple misunderstanding.

The location is really good, and for one night this would probably be fine. Our shower only had lukewarm water and very weak pressure. The woman on reception was super friendly and did her best to help. We left at 10 in the morning, but by 5 pm the room still hadn't been cleaned. Maybe they're short-staffed, but I wouldn't recommend staying longer.

We had to move out straight away because we felt unsafe. We were six women in three rooms, and without warning the hotel locked two rooms with all our luggage inside, then told us late that evening that our booking had supposedly ended that day. That's a serious failure of guest safety and basic hospitality. Our two hijabi friends were treated noticeably worse across the stay: check-in wasn't until 4 pm, their room was handed over untidy, and housekeeping didn't clean it the following day even though ours was cleaned as usual. They were also overcharged for laundry that came back wet and un-ironed. When we tried to get answers, the manager was aggressive, took no responsibility and threatened to call the police instead of sorting things out professionally. This was an unacceptable, discriminatory and stressful experience. The hotel needs to review its management, safety procedures and equality of service.
