The apartment itself is in a great location and otherwise very nice, but the problems during our nine-night stay in October 2025 made it unenjoyable. We were three couples in a three-bedroom, two-bathroom unit. The photos were plentiful and real. I know I'm fussy, but when you pay good money, you expect a decent place. Booking agencies, take note. My advice: look elsewhere. These reviews can't be real. This isn't a reflection on the other unit holders in the building. We got no answer to calls to their numbers, so don't expect help. In the main bedroom, the double mattress sagged badly and was very uncomfortable. The vertical blinds in the dining area had missing or broken slats. Both showers had an unhealthy amount of black mould on the grout and screens. One shower head was a joke, spraying water from both the pipe and head, and the main tap control was missing buttons, making it hard to adjust the flow. The main bedroom ensuite sink leaked and left a large puddle whenever it was used. By the dining table, a window lock handle was broken and black tape had been put on the window to slow the wind coming through the seal. Another window had a broken handle too, with cold wind coming in, and rain blew through the seals.

The apartment's location is great, and otherwise it's a very nice place, but several issues made our four-night stay less enjoyable. There was no balcony seating like the photos showed, which seemed very strange. In the main bedroom, the blinds fell on me, and a curtain in one bedroom couldn't be opened. A broken window by the dining table let in noise and cold air. The main bathroom shower faucet was tied up with a piece of cloth, and the sink there couldn't be used: it wouldn't drain, and when the water was running, gunk came through. None of these problems were fixed while we were there.

They cancelled our booking half an hour before we were due to arrive because of heating problems. They then agreed we could stay two nights for the price of one, even though there was still no central heating and the windows were sealed with paper bags and sticky tape. It was cold, drafty and noisy, and the company didn't refund the agreed amount. Very disappointing.

The one real advantage is the location, though there are plenty of other places nearby, including Virgin hotels next door. These apartments feel uncared for and badly maintained. You can feel every mattress spring when you lie down, the towels are badly worn and bleach-stained, and the furniture is ripped and worn. There is also an ongoing stream of drug deals and users at Riverview.
