Mum and I stayed in a twin room last autumn. It was practical rather than luxurious, but the beds were comfortable and the linen was good. Our room was away from the bar, so it was quiet. Breakfast was really good, and the manager was friendly and efficient. We also had a drink in the pub that evening, and the two young women working the bar were lovely.

The vegan menu was a real bonus, and the food choices were amazing with generous portions. The pub fare was decent and catered for everyone in our group of seven, so we all left happy. All the staff looked after us with fantastic, professional and friendly service on a Sunday lunchtime. I'd definitely recommend it.

We had to change plans at the last minute, and a quick Google search led us to the Crossroads Inn. They were very accommodating with our group's dietary needs, including one gluten-free person and a separate nut allergy, and were more than happy to help. There's also a good drinks selection, a large car park and it's dog-friendly.

We came specifically for the vegetarian roast, but it had run out by the afternoon. We then ordered fish pie and were told they didn't have the salmon. Honestly, I'd avoid the place, or ask what's actually available from the menu before you're seated.

Food was excellent, fresh, modern and tasty, with good drinks, efficient service and great parking. A great traditional pub in Mount Tabor.
