Premier Inn Harrogate South

Just two minutes on foot from the railway station, and the room was clean, standard Premier Inn fare. Reception was slow at first, but once a staff member arrived, the service was friendly and efficient. Meipo deserves a special mention for her kindness and care in the restaurant. I have allergies, and she went to extra lengths to help. Her warm smile could light up a room!

You know what you're getting with a typical Premier Inn, and the rooms were really good. The heater struggled to keep the room warm, though, and the bathroom was decent, but I wish they'd fit proper shower hoses instead of fixed shower heads. We were told at check-in that the restaurant was short-staffed, but the people working there tried extremely hard. The young lad waiting tables deserves a mention for his efficiency and effort, especially as he was doing most of it alone. All the staff were extremely pleasant and put in a lot of effort despite the setbacks. A number of things ran out at breakfast, but they did their best.

The hotel was clean, easy to find, and handy for shops and transport. I was in the area to see family, and the central location made getting around simple. Staff were lovely throughout and helped with my questions. I also had dinner there one evening, and it was well cooked and arrived promptly. A good, affordable stay with great service, and I’d recommend it.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to approach. I was there for two work nights. The air conditioning didn’t work, but they’d warned me before I booked and left two fans in the room. Even on a really hot day and night, it was manageable. I’d recommend the place and stay again.
