Sue was such a friendly host and really looked after us. We stayed in room 6 to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and we’d gladly return to Shelbourne House. It’s a lovely king room with an ensuite and a full-size walk-in shower. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the bedding and towels felt fresh and luxurious. There was a good breakfast choice, all freshly cooked with quality local produce. We especially enjoyed the full English. The room also had a well-stocked refreshment tray with Yorkshire Tea, Nescafé coffee, Tunnocks biscuits and bottled Harrogate water, plus lovely toiletries in the bathroom.

The owner was incredibly friendly, and the little room was cosy with everything I needed. It was my first time travelling alone, and I felt at home here. I’d absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone after a BnB in Harrogate.

The breakfast is the sort people rave about, and I can see why. Sue makes a point of using the best local produce and can tell you where the eggs, bacon, sausage, black pudding and everything else comes from, including who supplies it and when. It makes a lovely, authentic start to the day. The couple running the B & B are superb, and the location is spot on for Harrogate and all it has to offer. There’s parking right outside, and the rooms are very comfortable. Fresh, high-quality bedding and towels, a snack bar alongside the generous tea tray, and bottled Harrogate water all added to a memorable stay.

Sue is so kind and welcoming. The BnB itself was clean and cosy, and we really enjoyed the delicious breakfast. Highly recommend.

Sue was a wonderful host, and breakfast was great. We stayed in room 5 and the bedding was amazing, like sleeping on a cloud. We’ll definitely be back.
