We spent a few days here for our mini-moon after the wedding. The hosts were perfect, the place was clean and tidy, and we even got lovely eggs from the chickens. A great little base for exploring the Peak District.

There’s plenty of space, parking and lovely views, and the welcome from the hosts was warm. They even offered us a lift into town. The starter food and basics pack was handy, and they’d provided kitchen condiments, soap, towels and everything else. The place has all the comforts you’d expect, with a traditional feel. Getting there involves a couple of flights of stairs, one outdoors, and it’s uphill out of town, so that could be difficult for someone with mobility issues. Otherwise, a fantastic place.

The host was incredibly friendly, and the beds were extremely comfortable. It’s a gorgeous, quirky apartment on the top floor, in a brilliant location. Highly recommend it.

We loved it. The properties have lots of character and are clean, and it’s only ten minutes from the centre of Holmfirth. Wonderful hosts who go out of their way to help.
