We had a brilliant Easter weekend here, and the hot tub made it even better. The place was kept very clean, and our host was really friendly. It's about a 25-minute drive to the nearest beach and 15 minutes from Waithrose. I'd love to come back one day.

The grounds were lovely to wander around, and there was plenty to keep us busy. Our daughters especially enjoyed playing at being farmers, while the welcoming scones and immaculate Yurt made a great first impression. Melanie and Phil were fantastic hosts, and the nearby beaches were some of the nicest I've visited, without too long a drive. The girls were up late and awake early because they had so much to do. We'll be back next year with more family.

Melanie and Phil, along with their two lovely kids, made us feel so welcome. Melanie's scones were memorable too. The children had a lovely time with the animals. My younger one was scared of them on the first day, but by day four was asking to spend more time with them. We've had few country breaks in recent years that were as memorable. For a quiet getaway and good family time, we'd highly recommend it.

Collecting eggs was a highlight for the kids, who also loved feeding and meeting the animals and exploring the woods and streams. Farmer Phil, or “field” as my son called him, and Melanie were great hosts. We only left to walk through the beautiful woodland to the pub! The Stable was a lovely place for our long weekend, with a high standard of accommodation, a big bed, a nice bathroom, and bunk beds, toys and books for the children. We'd happily recommend Puddleduck Valley to families and hope to return soon.

Our two girls, now 5 and 7, pretty much insisted we come back this year after last year's fun. We've visited twice in two years, and both stays have been memorable. Phil and Melanie are kind, knowledgeable owners, and there's a good range of animals for children and adults to spend time with. It's a perfect spot for a family trip.
