The caravan was spacious, clean and lovely, with comfortable beds. We stayed with family during the May half term. The onsite restaurant served nice food, though the clubhouse was so small we didn't use it. The welcome pack said to park in allocated bays, but unless a bay happened to be next to your caravan there weren't any. It was first come, first served, which made parking difficult if we'd been out for the day. The pool sessions were frustrating. We paid for a pool party and were allowed in, then my sons were shouted at as they went to enter the water because the lifeguard wasn't there and the session hadn't started yet. Nobody had told us to wait. The next day, at a general swim session, we were let in at the stated time but stood around for at least five minutes because there was no lifeguard. I didn't want to risk being shouted at again. In my opinion, if guests are allowed in, a lifeguard should already be in place.

Getting in and out of the site was straightforward, and it was clean and tidy. The Lighthouse pub was great fun and dog friendly. The amusements were closed, though, and there are very few amenities nearby. The location itself is lovely, with a quick walk to a beautiful beach and lighthouse. Rhyl and places like it are a fair distance away, so you'd need a car. The van's cleanliness was dire. There was blood on the back of the bathroom door, dried food on the sofa cushions, and what looked like food fingerprints all over the wooden dining chairs. Holes in the bathroom door had been covered with a brown substance, and there was what looked like snot on the bedroom wall beside the small beds.

The fish and chips were lovely and fairly reasonably priced, and the beach was beautiful and well kept, about a ten minute walk away. Our caravan was modern, clean and had everything we needed. It had no outdoor seating, though, and the caravans were packed quite close together. The main reception was separate from the caravan area, around a five minute walk away. We didn't use the facilities. We tried to swim but the pool was full. During busy periods like school holidays, you have to get there first or be prepared to wait around. A pool booking system would be more helpful, as I've found that works better at other holiday parks.

The caravan and site were lovely and clean, with plenty to keep the kids entertained. It was handy for the shops, beach and nearby town. A few things let it down: the shower was only a trickle and hard to turn off, and the TV still didn't work after we tuned it. The wifi cloud didn't work either. It was a stuffy, warm weekend, and the window in the twin bedroom wouldn't open.

We had a great time. Everything was enjoyable, the facilities were tidy and clean, and the staff were really helpful. The fish in the picture is from the chop shop just up the road. For a pint, The Point is really nice. The popcorn was dangerously addictive.
