Sladen House

This was our second stay at Sladen Lodge, and we’ll be back again. It’s a lovely house in a lovely part of the UK, with plenty of warmth and all the amenities we need for a break. It works perfectly for our big family and is always super clean. Definitely recommend it.

We made good use of the outdoor space, with room for the grandchildren, adults and our dog, and ate on the patio while enjoying the amazing views. The house was a great fit for our extended family, with plenty of space, everything well equipped and very clean. The en suite bedrooms could be set up as singles or doubles, and the beds were really comfortable. Hathersage is a short walk away, and there are lots of walks and cycling routes nearby, plus the outdoor pool. The bus stop is right outside and the train station is in town, so getting to nearby places was easy. A perfect family holiday. We’ll be back! Thanks, Lynne, Ellie and Tracy.

The south-facing patio has amazing views across the Hope Valley, and the kids loved playing in the garden beside the lodge. We were there for a family birthday weekend, and the house had space for everyone. It was clean and well equipped, and Hathersage centre is within walking distance. A fantastic place, even if you may not feel like leaving.

The local area is stunning, with pubs, restaurants and great hikes close by. Sladen Lodge worked really well for our group during our two-night visit. The place was clean and well kitted out, and the rooms and bathrooms were great, with comfortable beds. Each room has an en suite, and the beds can be arranged as twins or doubles. Definitely recommend it.
