Station Hotel

I stayed in the large room for six months while working at RAF Lossiemouth, about seven or eight years ago. The place made great memories. Hospitality was fantastic, and Jimmy, Silvia and Debbie were amazing proprietors. They even put up with our late-night antics after a few relaxing drinks in the bar. The food was brilliant, both in the restaurant and as bar meals. Jimmy would get up early to make breakfast for us and packed lunches to take to work. I thought it was the best B&B in the Lossiemouth/Hopeman area. There was great entertainment regularly, and the locals were fantastic, even Butch!

The steak pie at dinner was great. The room was basic, but the main problem was the hot water. Please sort out the heating, timers or whatever’s needed so a warm shower is possible at 0630!

We ate here for both lunch and dinner while in Hopeman, and really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The shepherd’s pie came with various veg, and the fish was fresh with great chips. The hosts were very attentive.

After a walk that felt like the whole way from Lands End to John o'Groats, though it was actually 10 miles, I needed a rest, a warm corner and a drink. The owners welcomed me in and were happy for me to warm up and have a couple of pints. They helped take the edge off the severe pain in all my ageing joints. Thanks, it was just what I needed.
