A fun, quirky little backpackers. The rooms are basic and have bunk beds, but the privacy curtains are a nice touch. The girl working there was friendly the whole time, and the service was very good.

When we missed the ferry and arrived unexpectedly, Glenn welcomed us warmly and quickly put us at ease. We ended up adding a day in Hull to our London trip, which turned out to be a lovely surprise. The hostel is simple, but Glenn is such a good host. He grew up in Hull and has all sorts of tips for seeing the city. The room with its own bathroom was spotless, the bed was good, and the place felt like staying at my mother’s, so welcoming, tidy and organised. It’s beside Trinity Minster, right at the edge of the pedestrian friendly city centre, which I liked more than I expected. Tesco is across the road, a proper English breakfast is 100 metres away, and a taxi to the ferry takes 15 minutes and costs about 10 quid. The train station is a 10 minute walk. A great place to stay!

The staff were lovely and showed me around. The room was nice, the bunk had a privacy curtain, and the bed was comfortable. I could hire a towel too. The kitchen has tea, milk, sugar and breakfast things, with a donation requested for breakfast. I was disappointed there wasn’t any coffee. Costa Coffee has a machine in the Tesco Express nearby, though. Coffee is advertised at reception, but I may have been up too early because no one was there. It was easy to find, and being close to Tesco Express was handy for picking up a ready meal to heat in the microwave. I’ll definitely stay again.

Glenn is a wonderful person, always finding time for guests and greeting them with a big smile and a generous heart. Alan is just one text away and gets back super quickly. I love how nicely they’ve organised this little place. The main entrance looks like an antique work of art. For me, it’s a 10/5 place to stay, really close to the shopping centre and water fall. I was new to Hull and found it cheaper than other hotels. Hope to see you guys next week. Thank you so much for making such a suitable place to stay for people like me.

It’s a friendly, independently run hostel in a great spot. The facilities are basic, which makes sense with the low rates. The staff take good care of the place, are helpful, and have lots of good suggestions for things to do nearby.
